Welcome to Lumees. This Privacy Policy explains how Lumees LLC ("Lumees," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use the Lumees mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services").

  • Current location (city/country)

Custom Profile Information When you add other people to your Lumees account ("Custom Profiles"), you provide:
 

  • Their name or nickname

  • Their date of birth

  • Their time of birth (if known)

  • Their place of birth

  • Their relationship role to you (e.g., partner, friend, family member)
     

Payment Information When you make purchases, our payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat) handle your payment information. We do not directly collect or store your credit card details.
Communications When you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the content of your messages.

Lumees uses artificial intelligence (AI) and automated processing to generate personalized astrological content. Here's how:

Third-Party AI Services We use third-party AI services to generate certain content within the app. When you interact with Cosmio or receive AI-generated readings:

  • We do not share your name, email, or other directly identifying information with AI providers

  • AI-generated content is created in real-time based on astrological calculations
     

Your Rights Regarding AI You have the right to understand when AI is being used in decisions or content that affects you. All AI-generated content in Lumees is clearly part of the personalized astrology experience you opt into by using the Services.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

  • Account information: Until account deletion

  • Usage data: 24 months

  • Support communications: 36 months

  • Payment records: As required by law (typically 7 years)

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information Certain information we collect may be considered "sensitive" under California law, including precise geolocation and information about your philosophical beliefs (as reflected in astrological preferences). You may request that we limit our use of this information to what is necessary to provide the Services.
Right to Non-Discrimination We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
 
Categories of Personal Information Collected In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
 

  • Identifiers (name, email, IP address, device identifiers)

  • Personal information categories under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e) (name, address)

  • Geolocation data (city-level location)

  • Internet or network activity (usage data, browsing history within the app)

  • Inferences drawn from the above (astrological profiles, content preferences)

How to Exercise Your Rights To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us at support@lumees.app or through the in-app settings. We will verify your identity before processing your request.

For Residents of Other U.S. States
 

If you reside in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island, or other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have similar rights. Contact us at support@lumees.app to exercise your rights.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
 

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)

  • Encryption of data at rest

  • Access controls and authentication

  • Regular security assessments

  • Employee training on data protection
     

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Lumees is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@lumees.app, and we will promptly delete such information.

Users between 13 and 18 should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian.

Account Deletion

You can delete your Lumees account at any time through the app settings. When you delete your account:

  • Your personal information will be permanently deleted within 30 days

  • Your Custom Profiles will be deleted

  • Your generated content (readings, saved affirmations) will be deleted

  • Any active subscriptions should be canceled through your app store before deletion
     

To delete your account:

  1. Open the Lumees app

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Select "Delete Account"

  4. Confirm your decision

International Data Transfers

Lumees is based in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our Services, you consent to such transfers.

Third-Party Links and Services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
 

  • Posting the updated policy in the app

  • Sending you an email notification

  • Displaying a prominent notice when you open the app
     

Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
